Discovering the unique charm of Portuguese gardens of Portugal. Historic gardens and romantic refuges from Porto to Lisbon.

A found paradise for our senses: exotic, wild landscape and beautiful Italian Renaissance gardens, French Baroque parterres and landscaped gardens from England. The perfect period of the year is the springtime to join a garden tour in Portugal and enjoy the spectacle of the blooming Camellia. This exotic botanical species is incredibly well suited to the conditions of the Atlantic climate, and an absolute must-see of handpicked garden tours in Portugal.

DAY 1:
Arrival in Porto and welcome by our local guide, and transfer with a Panoramic journey to the chosen hotel in Porto.
DAY 2:
City tour of Porto's main attractions and visit to the gardens of the Parque de Serralves by French landscape architect Jacques Gréber dates back to 1932. Here is the influence of the French gardens of the 16th and 17th centuries, combined with the Art Déco style and modern classicism.
DAY 3:
Excursion to Braga, visit Santa Bárbara Garden is one of the most beautiful in Portugal. Other attractions include Cathedral, Bom Jesús do Monte, and Guimarães cradle of the nation.
DAY 4:
Bussaco forest & Coimbra. Driving to Coimbra with a visit to the Bussaco forest and the gardens of Quinta das Lágrimas are almost like a botanical museum, where plant species from all over the world come together.
DAY 5:
Through the gothic region. Drive through Central Portugal to Batalha, Alcobaça, Óbidos with the visit Buddha Eden Garden largest eastern garden in Europe. Here you can observe Buddhas, Pagodas, terracotta statues and carefully sculpted sculptures throughout the garden.
DAY 6:

The capital of Portugal. A special tour with the motto "With charm and style", combined with the historic district of Lisbon where you can visit the Park Eduardo VII with a beautiful view over the city down to the Tagus. Would not be worth mentioning, there would not be two large greenhouses with all sorts of exotic plants: the "Estufa Fria" (cold greenhouse) and the "Estufa Quente" (warm greenhouse), next to green plants grow many exotic flowers, especially beautiful the many camellias blooming in white and red in spring.

The Palacio da Fronteira, particularly beautiful in the stately palace is the romantic garden. The first Marquês de Fronteira had the palace built in the 17th century as a hunting lodge. Particularly impressive are the Azulejos. Gods, planets, zodiac signs, birds, cats and monkeys decorate benches and facades on the porch. The magnificently tiled Gallery of Kings dominates the lower part of the garden.

DAY 7:

Royal gardens of Sintra that first will lead you to the Royal Sintra with sightseeing castles, palaces and the gardens. Favorite place of the romantics, which is full of palaces, surrounded by mysterious landscape and exotic plant world. An absolute highlight surrounded by a magic garden is the Quinta da Ragaleira, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the immediate vicinity about 3 KM away is the garden of Monserrate. Exotic tree giants grow here, there are already 25 palm species; and the fern trees were imported by Sir Francis Cook himself from Australia. There is a rose garden, a Mexico valley, a Japanese garden, a valley of ferns and many exotic plants that could be acclimatized here amazingly: bunya tree and rubber tree from Australia, tear cypress from China, Mexican cypress etc.

DAY 8:
Unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye to Portugal today.

Enjoy once again a last Portuguese cafe and the warming sun. The bus takes the guests to the airport Lisbon, also here they are again accompanied by our guide.
