St. James Way two countries a destination.
In the fifteenth century, Portugal & Spain granted as sailing and exploration nation, the world among themselves and spread the Catholic Christianity worldwide.

The traditional Way of St. James was in the middle age the route for pilgrims from Central Europe to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Where there the grave of the apostle James can be found. Aside from the Spanish Marian shrine of Santiago de Compostela, the Portuguese Marian shrine of Fatima is the most important landmarks in the Marian cult, drawing pilgrims from all over the world.

The Portuguese Way to Santiago, starts in Porto and enters Galicia via the City of Tui. In Portugal the cities of Porto, Barcelos, Ponte de Lima and Valença do Minho are some of the highlights of the journey.
