Continue to Évora is the very Moorish capital of the province of Alentejo. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 because of its beautiful closed cityscape. Through the province of Alentejo, it goes a gentle, seemingly endless landscape until you finally reach Lisbon and the highlight is the view over Lisbon from the platform of Christ the Redeemer. Then on to the glorious discoveries of over 500 years, Belém suddenly catapulted to the limelight of world history.
