Alentejo Region


DAY 1:
At the Lisbon airport, you will be greeted by our guide who will accompany you during your transfer to the hotel in Evora and give you the first useful information about the region.
DAY 2:
In the morning you will visit the historic city of Évora, the most Moorish capital of Alentejo province. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 because of its beautiful closed cityscape.
DAY 3:

After a rich breakfast, you will get acquainted with the most beautiful and interesting places such as Alter do Chao stronghold of the Portuguese horse breeding. Castelo de Vide with its medieval atmosphere and a “must”, Marvão the "eagle's nest", which is almost 900 meters high in the São Mamede mountains located in the northern Alentejo.

DAY 4:

Today you will get to see the largest artificial lake in Europe - where the land became water and the water becomes a sea of possibilities. Surely you will not want to miss the wine tasting at some of Alentejo's most famous wineries!

DAY 5:

In the morning you will discover Estremoz, a fortified town, very typical and probably one of the most beautiful villages of this region. Then comes Vila Viçosa and famous for its large, white marble houses. Also, Borba we will visit, one of the region's most important wine villages, and Elvas, the old fortress town, is set in the middle of one of the largest remaining bastion fortifications.

Portugal's cork trees and of course Portugal's cork producers have never been more important than now! Portugal's cork trees are unique in the world and take from the CO2 exhausts Portugal 5%. The visit of a factory is highly recommended. The hosts will provided detailed information about the material cork, the production processes and products, and then he led you through the factory.

DAY 6:

Today we leave the city of Évora and pass through a sparsely populated area with many cork oak forests until we reach Lisbon. If you are archaeologically interested on the way to Lisbon, we pass the Cromeleque dos Almendres just before Évora. It represents the largest collection of menhirs - Stone Age places of worship - in the Iberian Peninsula.

Shortly before Lisbon, our next highlight is the views of Lisbon from the platform of the Christ statue before we pass on the 25th of April Bridge and reach Lisbon. The glorious discoveries of over 500 years suddenly catapulted Belém to the limelight of world history.

DAY 7:

In the morning, a special tour begins with the motto "With charm and style", combined with the historic district of Lisbon. After, you go to Sintra, the summer residence of the former Portuguese kings. Always along the coast, the trip leads to the westernmost point of Europe - Cabo da Roca and past the beach of Guincho, which is popular because of its winds, especially among surfers. Entering the town, you reach the fishing village of Cascais, where the colorfully painted fishing boats are located on the main square in front of the fish market. One of the most popular, classy beach and called the "Portuguese Riviera".

DAY 8:

Enjoy once again a last Portuguese cafe and the warming sun. The bus takes the guests to the airport Lisbon, also here they are accompanied by our guide.
